Missouri River

To complete the team of rivers in our immediate vicinity is the Missouri River (or the Mighty Mo as we like to refer to her).  A tail water fishery starting below the Holter dam, the Missouri river is like a big spring creek for the the first dozen miles below the dam. As the river moves on toward the town of Cascade some thirty miles below, the rolling hillsides give way to big, beautiful canyon walls different than anything you are likely to find on the western side of the divide.  Known for it's unbelievably high fish counts, the Mo is not afraid to give up the big ones.  Consistent water levels and trout freindly water temps year round give way to a constant smorgasbord of insect life allowing fish to grow big.  This river is fishable pretty much year-round, and gives us one more great option in our backyard
